S. ~ of the City ~ of Petaluma, California A R.ESOLUTION APPROUINC T_HE iNSTA,LLATI0N.0F A-:FREESTANDING D,IRECTLON- AL SIGN TO BE LOCATED AT~ 100 ~:FAI`RGROUNDS- DR~IVE IN PETALUMA. WHEREAS, the Santa :Rosa J,unior, Co1l~ege~~Petaluma Center submitted an application to the SPARC Commi'ttee~requesti:ng ;design approval of a free-standi.ng directi;onal sign to_be located on public pr.operty in fron;t of the main en- trance to the Sonoma-Marin. Fairgroands, and ' ~ WHEREAS, the SPAR~C Comma~tte.e has re:viewed the ap,plicant's request a~s_has.,the Engineering and Flann:ing Departmen~ts, and recommends'the request be~ approved, ~ NOW,_THEREFORE, BE-IT RESOLVED that the Santa Rosa Junior College Petaluma Center'~s request to erect a.~directional si.gn in the public-right-of-way at the mai~n entrance to the Sonoma-Marin Fairgrounds subje:ct to the following require- ments: - ~ 1. The sign shall be located near. the~;f-ront of the main landscaped drive- way divider strip leading into the Fairgrourrds per.attached Exhibit A; 2. The slumpstone bas:e sha~ll be red`uced'in height.to three (3) feet, and the sign board shall be:reduced from eight ,(8) by six (6') feet to seven (7) by five (5) feet. . : . ~ . 3. One (1) tree of speci~es a.cceptable to the Superintendent of Public L~orks, shall be planted on Li;b~rary grounds-to replace the lost tree, or if feasible, said tree may be transplanted. ' 4.
