ELEC"TION ANI)1)E'~'~RIVIINING '1'HE ORDER OF SIGNATURES ON 'TI~E AI2GUIVIEN'~' WI~EREAS, on December 21, 2009, the City Council adopted Resolution 2009-204 N.C.S. Ordering Submission to the Qualified Electors of the City of an Ordinance to Extend the Urban Growth Boundary Expiration Date to December 31, 2025 at the General Municipal Election to Be Held on Tuesday, November 2, 2010; and, W~IEREAS, on June 21, 2010, the City Council directed a sub-committee of the City Cauncil comprised of Mayor Pamela Torliatt and Council Members Mike Harris and David Rabbitt to compose an argument in support of the Ballot Measure Extending the Urban Growth Boundary (UGB) Expiration from December 31, 2018 to December 31, 2025 as well as a rebuttal to any argument against the measure, should one be filed; and, WI~EREAS, the City Council has reviewed the draft argument prepared by Mayor Torliatt and Council Members Harris and Rabbitt. NOW, TI--~EREFORE, BE I'I' RESOLVED that the City Council approves the draft argument in support of the Ballot Measure Extending the Urban Growth Boundary (UGB) Expiration from December 31, 2018 to December 31, 2025 attached as Exhibit A to this Resolution, and directs the City Clerk to submit the argument to the Sonoma County Registrar of Voters for inclusion in the November 2, 2010 General Municipal Election ballot pamphlet. BE IT FU~ZTHER RESOLVED that five Council Members may sign the argument, in the following order: Mayor Pamela Torliatt, Vice Mayor David Glass, Council Member Teresa Barrett, Council Member Mike Harris, and Council Member David Rabbitt. Page 1 BE IT FiJR'THEIZ RESOLVED that should an argument against the measure be filed, Mayor Torliatt and Council Members Harris and Rabbitt shall author a rebuttal to that argument, and five City Council members may sign the rebuttal with the first two signatures being those of Council Member Mike Healy and Council Member Tiffany Renee. 1480790.1 Under the power and authority conferred upon this Council by the Charter of said City.
