Adopt Resolution No. 9740 N. C. S. awarding contract for traffic signal
installation at Western Avenue/Kentucky Street and Petaluma Blvd.
Nor.th/North McDowell Blvd. to Steiny. and Company of Vallejo for

INSURANCE
Council considered the April 21, 1983, report of Warren, McVeigh and
Griffin, risk management consultants, who have recommended the City
should either select Kindler and Laucci as its Broker of Record or
conduct a competitive bid with Ramatici Insurance and Kindler & Laucci.
Councilman H arberson arrived. at 7: 25 p, m. Erin A. Oberly, C. P. C. U.,
A.R.M., Senior Vice President .of Warren, McVeigh and Griffin,
reviewed the criteria used for evaluation of proposals which they had
received from five insurance brokers, and evaluation of subsequent
interviews with three firms. The fees quoted ranged from $12,431 a
year with no commission (Kindler & Laucci) to $30,000 a year with ten
percent commission (Ramatici) .

The Ci,ty Couricil was requested to •~ approve an amendment . to the
~ existing ~ State Lands Lease~ •#P-RC = 5607 . 9 to include the addition~ of one
ramp and eighteen sixty foot doeks. (~1080 lineal feet) at~ ~the, site in the
Petaluma River Turning Basin called Cavanagh Landing .. The ~original
lease was authorized December 20, 1978, for a 49 year period from
August l, 1978 (July 31, 2027) . This amendment runs for 45 years
from June 1, 1983 to May 31, 2028.

AMEND LEASE - STATE LANDS
- CAVANAGH LANDING ~
Adopt Resolution No. 9743 N. C. S. authorizing the City State Lands
Gommission to amend lease PRC 5607.9 to provide additional dock
facilities in the Petaluma Turning Basin. Introduced by Councilman
Cavanagh and seconded by Vice Mayor P'erry.
