Qaritas Development Gorporation letter asking if the .City would ,.be
interested in entering negotiations to acquire a 10 acre site which was
reserved, mapped, and improved with street, sewer, water, and drive

WEED ABATEMENT
Fire Marshal Thomas answered the Council's questions. The hearing
was opened. No one offered testimony. The hearing was closed.
Resolution No. 9735 N. C. S. ordering abatement of nuisances consisting
of weeds growing and rubbish, refuse and dirt existing upon- _the
streets, sidewalks, parkways, and parcels of private p'roperty in the
City of Petaluma and ordering the Fire Chief to remove said weeds,
refuse, rubbish and dirt by contract or by his own forces. Introduced
by Councilman Harberson and seconded by Councilman Bond.

Space
Staff gave i~ts report. The Planning commission recommended
redesignation. to an "Agricultural Open~ Space classification." The
Commission has not recommended adding "commercial 'campgrounds" to
the "Agricultural" zoning district regulations, and has turned down the
inclusion~ of ."campgrounds" in the "Agricultural" zoning district.
Campgrounds are currently . considered a"commercial recreation" facility

The Hearing was opened. The Planning Director advised that the
Urban Separator varies from 75 feet (~one-half Separator) to 300• feet in
width. City Manager Scharer noted creeks are not a part of: the Urban
Separator but rather are a part of the City's policy to establish linear
parks along creeks. Couneil spoke in favor of siting the, Urban
Separator inside property lines.
Steve Buckley, 620 E. Washington Street, .ascertaine.d,..that _~creeks are
not urban separators. Matt, Hudson,: attorne,y for Mr. ~~Bollinger; urged
the Council to place the Urban Separator on the outside of parcel
boundaries . He also urged establishing a maximurrm ratio of ,lot' size to
