PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Vice Mayor Cavanagh led the pledge of allegiance MINUTES The June 14 minutes were amended as follows : Page #1. The last sentence "Should res.eeding be considered instead of replacing the astro turf?" should be deleted. Page #2. Fourth paragraph down. Replace "Councilman" Cavanagh with Vice Mayor Cavanagh. In the second line of the same paragraph, insert after "repainting the" Bridge Railing, . Page #3. First line insert after "with" either the June Primary or November. . . . . The June 21 minutes were approved as submitted. RESOLUTION #9487 NCS VICE MAYOR Adopt Resolution No. 9487 N.C.S. appointing Councilman William A. Michael Spang, of 11 Rocca, suggested sending storm run-off into the South County (Varnhagan property) Park. Staff was requested to bring the proposed policy back in final form. RECESS Council recessed from 8:15 to 8:20 ORDINANCE #1524 NC5 VIDEO GAMES Adopt Ordinance No. 1524 N. C. S. amending numerous sections of the zoning ordinance regarding video games. Introduced by Councilman Harberson and seconded by Councilman Battaglia on June 21. Mr. Richard Tipton, of Coin Amusement Company, asked that the arcade definition be changed from 3 mechanical machines to 5. Bill Gritten,, of Preston Automotive, requested that the variance not be approved because people tend to use his off=street parking. Tom. One to reduce required interior side yard set-back from 5 feet to 3 feet, the other is to reduce the required driveway entrance depth from 20 feet to 14 feet. Mr. Hudson urged the Council to approve the needed use~ permit and variances for the proposed wholesale parts and machine shop to be located at 501 Second Street.
