AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1072 N.C.S.
BY PREZONING ASSESSOR'S PARCEL NUMBER 136-010-21 AND ADJACENT AREA
KNOWN AS THE POMEROY ANNEXATION, A M-G (GENERAL INDUSTRIAL) AND
LOCATED IN THE VICINITY OF HOPPER STREET,
HIGHWAY 101 AND THE PETALUMA RIVER.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PETALUMA AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council finds that the Planning Commission filed with
the City Council on December 12, 1984 its report as set forth in its minutes
of November 13, 1984 (Item No. 3.322), recommending the adoption of an
amendment to Zoning Ordinance No. 1072 N.C.S., by reclassifying and
prezoning portions of Assessor's Parcel Number 136-010-21 and adjacent
areas being more particularly described in Exhibit "A" to M-G (General
Industrial) , FW (Floodway) , FP-C (Flood Plain Combining) and AG
(Agricultural - the southern tip of McNear Island) .
Section 2. The City Council further finds that said Planning Commission held
a public hearing on said proposed amendment to Zoning Ordinance No. 1072
N.C.S., on November 13, 1984, after giving notice of said hearing in the
manner, for the period and in the form required by said Ordinance No.
1072 N.C.S.
Section 3. Pursuant to the provisions of Zoning Ordinance No. 1072 N.C.S.,
the City Council finds that the proposed amendment is in general conformity
with the Petaluma General Plan and its Environmental Design Plan Element,
and further, that the public interest, convenience and general welfare will
be furthered by the proposed amendment.
Section 4. The City Council finds that the requirements of California
Environmental Quality Act Guidelines Section 15083 have been satisfied and
Ord. No. 1598 N.C.S.
hereby incorporates by reference

the. Negative Declaration approved by
Section 5. Pursuant to the 'provisions of Zoning. Ordinance No. 1072 N. C. S. ,
and based upon the evidence, it has received and in accordance with the
findings made, the City Council hereby adopts an amendment to said Zoning
Ordinance No,. 1072, N.C.•S.,, so as to. reclassify., and prezone said property
hereinbefore referred to in accordance with \ the recommendation of the
Planning Commission..
Section 6. The City .Clerk is hereby directed to post this ordinance for the
period and in the manner required by the City Charter.
