4 PRELIMINARY APPROVAL OF
5 ENGINEER'S REPORT FOR
6 LANDSCAPE ASSESSMENT DISTRICTS

8 FISCAL YEAR 2001-2002

10 WHEREAS, the City Council of Petaluma did adopt that certain Resolution, Describing
11 Improvements and Directing Preparation of Engineer's Report for fiscal year 2001-2002 and
12 pursuant to the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972, for the Landscape Assessment Districts,
13 in said City, listed in Exhibit A of the Engineer's report on file, and did refer the proposed
14 improvements to the .Engineer of Work, and did therein direct said Engineer of Work prepare and
15 file with City Clerk report on the districts; in writing, all as therein more particularly described,
16 under and pursuant to the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972.

18 WHEREAS, said Engineer of Work prepared and filed with the City Clerk of said City
19 reports on the districts, in writing as called for in said Resolution and under a pursuant to said
20 Act, which report have been presented to this Council for consideration; and
21
22 WHEREAS, said Council has duly considered the report and each and every part thereof,
23 and finds that each and every part of said report is sufficient, and that neither said report, nor any
24 part thereof should be modified in any respect;

26 DE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Petaluma, County of Sonoma as
27 follows:

29 1. That the plans and specifications for the existing improvements within the assessment
3o districts listed in Exhibit A of the Engineer's report or within any zone thereof, contained in said
31 report for the districts, be, and it are hereby, preliminarily approved.

33 2. That the Engineer's estimate of the itemized and total costs and. expenses of said
34 improvements, if any, maintenance, and of the incidental expenses in connection therewith,
35 contained in said report, be, and each of them are hereby, preliminarily approved.

2 3. That the diagram showing the exterior boundaries of the assessment districts referred
3 to and described in said Resolution and also the boundaries of any zones therein and the lines and
4 dimensions of each lot or parcel of land within said districts as such lot or parcel of land is shown
5 on the County Assessor's maps for the fiscal year to which the report for each district applies,
6 each of which lot or parcel of land has been given a separate number upon said diagram, as
7 contained in said report, be, and it is hereby preliminarily approved.

9 4. That the proposed assessment of the total amount of the estimated costs and expenses
10 of the proposed improvements upon the several parcels of land in each district in proportion to
11 the estimated benefits to be received by such parcels, respectively, from said improvements
12 including the maintenance or servicing, or both thereof, and of the expenses incidental thereto, as
13 contained in said report, be, and they are hereby, preliminarily approved.

15 5. That said report will stand as the Engineer's Report for all of the individual District as
16 listed in Exhibit A of the Engineer's report for the purpose of all subsequent proceedings to be
17 had pursuant to said Resolution. .

29 Under the power and authority conferred upon this Council by the Charter of said City.
30 REFERENCE: I hereby certify the foregoing Resolution was introduced and adopted by the Approved as to
31 Council of the City ofPetaluma at a Regular meeting on June 4, 2001,
32 by the following voter
