Perry James Harberson AN ORDINANCE AMENDING. ZONING ORDINANCENO. 1072 NCS BY RECLASSIFYING AND REZONING CERTAIN LANDS KNOWN AS THE RANCHO ARROYO BUSINESS ,PARK FROM :M-L (_LIG'HT INDUSTRIAL) AND FPC (FLOOD PLAIN COMBINING) TO P.C.D. (PLANNED COMMUNITY DISTRICT) AND FPC (FLOOD PLAIN COMBINING) LOCATED GENERALLY BETWEEN THE PETALUMA RIVER AND U.S.. 101, PETALUMA BLVD. NORTH AND CORONA ROAD. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY. OF PETALUMA AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City Council finds that the; Planning Commission filed with the City Council on ,September 19, 1983, its report as set forth in its minutes of August 9, 1983 (Item No. 3.305), recommending the adoption of an amendment to Zoning Ordinance No. 1072 N . C.:S . , by reclassifying and rezoning certain lands being more particularly described below from M-L (Light Industrial) and FPC (Flood Plain. Combining) to P.C.D. ( Planned Community District) and FPC (.Flood Plain Combining) : AP Nos. 150-020-02, 3, 4, & 5; 7-412 8 & 11, and Petaluma and Santa Rosa Railroad right-of-way between Corona Road and Petaluma Boulevard North and portions of. AP Nos. 1'50-0.20-b1„ 77412-10, 12;, 18, 19, 2.0, 23 & 24 which lie outside ' the floodway zone. The area is located between the Petaluma River and U . S . 101 between Petaluma Boulevard North and Corona Road. Section 2. The City Council further finds that said Planning Commission held a public hearing on said proposed amendment to Zoning Ordinance No. 1072 N.C.S. , on August 9,1983, after giving notice of said hearing in the manner, for the period and in the form required by said Ordinance No. 1072 N.C.S. Section '3,. Pursuant to the provisions of Zoning Ordinance No. 1072 N.C.S., THE City Council finds that the proposed amendment is in general conformity with the Petaluma General Plan and its Environmental Design Plan Element, and further,, that the public interest, convenience and general welfare will be :furthered by the proposed amendment. Section 4., The City Council finds that the requirements of California Environmental Quality Act Guidelines Section 15.083 have been satisfied and Ord. 1558 NCS Page 1 of 2 J hereby incorporates by reference the Environmental Impact Report certified by the City Council in 1981. Section 5. Pursuant to the provisions of Zoning Ordinance No. 1072 N . C . S . , and based upon the evidence it, has received and in accordance with the findings made, the City Council hereby adopts an amendment to said Zoning Ordinance No. 1072 N . C .S . , so as to reclassify and rezone said property hereinbefore .referred to in accordance with the recommendation of the Planning Commission. Section 6.. The City Clerk is hereby directed to post/polish this ordinance for the period. and in the manner 'required by the City Charter.
