Section 1. The City Co:unc~al finds that the.Planning Commissi:on filed
with the City Council~on . Mav .18, 1981 its report as set forth
in its minutes of May 12, 1981 (Item-No.~3.~59 ), recommen~ang
the adoption of an amen,dment to Zoni.ng Ordinance No. 1072 N~.C.S., by reclassifying
and rezoning certain ~lands,,being more pa:rticularly described on the attached
Exhibit A, from P.lanned Communitv Development (ACD) to

P~1 anned` Uni t De-.ve1 opmen-t ( PUD)
Section 2. The City Coancil further fi_nds that said P1"anning Commission
held a public hearing on said proposed.amendment .to Zoning Ordinance No. 1072
N:G.S. on . hlay 12, 1981 , after gi'ving notice of said hear-
i'n,g in the manne.r, for the period and in the form required'by said Ordinance
No. 1072 N.C.S:
Section 3. Pursuant.to,the provisions of Zoning.0rdi'nan,ce f~o. 1072
N.C.S_, the City ~Counci`l fi~nds that the proposed amendment is in general con-
formity with the Petal•uma General~Plan and its Environmental Design Plan
El~ement,, and further, that_the pub.lic in.terest, convenienee and general welfare

Section 4. Parsuant to the provisions of Zoning Ordinance ~No. 1072

Zoning Ordinance No: :1072 N':C.S., so as to reclassify an'd rezone said
property~herei`nbefo~re :re`ferred to in accordance with the recommendation
