HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 2001-053 N.C.S. 03/12/20011 Resolution No. 2001-053 N.C.S. z of the City of Petaluma, California 3 4 CERTIFYING THE CITY WILL SUSTAIN ITS LEVEL OF 5 EXPENDITURES FOR TRANSPORTATION PURPOSES 6 7 8 9 1o WHEREAS, AB2928, known as the Transportation Congestion Relief Fund, provides 11 approximately $1 billion directly to cities and counties for preservation, maintenance and 12 rehabilitation of the local street and road system; and 13 14 WHEREAS, the City of Petaluma is in receipt of $377,666.59 for fiscal year 2000-2001; 15 and 16 17 WHEREAS, use of these funds imposes an Maintenance of Effort (MOE) provision (per 18 Government Code Section 14556.26) which requires cities to maintain their current level of 19 general. fund expenditures for transportation purposes; and 20 21 WHEREAS, the formula is calculated on the average over the last three fiscal years 22 (1996-1997, 1997-1998 and 1998-1999) of city expenditures from the general fund for street, 23 road and highway purposes; 24 25 NOW, THEREFORE DE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of 26 Petaluma, California will sustain its level of general fund expenditures for transportation 27 purposes in compliance with Government Code Section. 14556.26. 28 29 30 31 32 33 34 35 36 37 38 39 40 41 42 43 Under the power and authority conferred upon this Council by the Charter of said City.
