6 AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A PROFESSIONAL
7 SERVICES AGREEMENT FOR THE "RESIDENTIAL TOILET REPLACEMENT
8 PROGRAM: RECYCLING OF OLD TOILETS" WITH OLD ADOBE
9 DEVELOPMENTAL SERVICES, INC.

13 WHEREAS, the City of Petaluma recognizes that water is an essential and limited resource; and
14
15 WHEREAS, the City of Petaluma has a 5-year Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) for Water
16 System Improvements which includes Project #9931 for water conservation; and
17
18 WHEREAS, the City of Petaluma has entered into a cooperative agreement with the Sonoma
19 County Water Agency to fund and administer a Residential Toilet Replacement Program in the
20 Water CIP Project #9931 for water conservation; and
21
22 WHEREAS, the City of Petaluma has determined that conducting an extensive water
23 management program to assist residential water customers with water conservation and reducing
24 peak water use is one of the strategies that it will employ to achieve its water conservation goals;
25
26 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the Petaluma City Council authorizes the City
27 Manager to enter into a professional services agreement for the "Residential Toilet Replacement
28 Program: Recycling Of Old Toilets" with Old Adobe Developmental Services, Inc.

40 REFERENCE: I hereby certify the foregoing Resolution was introduced and adopted by the Council
41 of the City of Petaluma at a meeting on, March 12, 2001, Approved as to
