Mike Johnson, CEO, Committee on the Shelterless (COTS), Petaluma, thanked Council for supporting COTS in this upcoming budget. David Solo, President and CEO, Boys & Girls Clubs of Marin and Southern Sonoma County, thanked Council for their support of Boys & Girls Clubs during the past eight years. Council Member Albertson Dev Goetschius, Executive Director, Housing Land Trust of Sonoma County, Petaluma, thanked the Council for their help in making the 26 units of workforce housing at Southgate a reality. The said the program has been a resounding success, and has been used as a model for a number of similar programs. Peter Tscherneff, Petaluma, read an inspirational passage from Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged and spoke about home schooling, banks, and growing marijuana.
