As former Council member, co -chair of the CPSC /CAC, and member of the River Plan /CAC,
I've learned a great deal about, and helped implement, Petaluma's goals for our rail corridor,
downtown, economic development, public involvement, the SMARTCode, land use, housing
and for sustainable environmental practices. My experiences at the SCTA have also
deepened my understanding of transportation corridors, urban design, inter -modal
connectivity, funding, partnerships and the need for viable rail service in the North Bay.
I will bring these experiences of complex, multifaceted and consensus - building discussions
and decisions from the CPSP /CAC, General Plan, River Plan /CAC, and as a small business
manufacturer and environmental advocate, to the creation, public vetting, development and
successful implementation of our newest building blocks for Petaluma, the Station Area Plan.

I would like to continue to support our City's redevelopment planning and the resulting
renaissance of our downtown, which leaped forward with the successful CPSP and River
Plan. I believe that it is very important to continue the work already done in the development
of our downtown, and now at the Corona Road site. Stakeholders, public and committee
members freely discussed issues, debated choices, and came to agreements during the
development of these plans and codes, which set the table for huge public and private
investments in our City's core.
I would help provide institutional memory and continuity from those CACs, and from the
stakeholders' active, enthusiastic investments in our City's planning and decision - making.
Jane Hamilton (co- chair, CPSP /CAC); John Fitzgerald and Walt Haake (members,
CPSP /CAC) support my application to join the Station Area Plan CAC.
love our great City, and would be honored to serve in the development and implementation
of the new Station Area Plans.
I would be pleased to respond to any questions from City Council members.
