HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 2008-052B N.C.S. 03/17/2008Resolution No. 2008-052B N.C.S. of the City of Petaluma, California AWARDING MAINTENANCE CONTRACTS FOR LANDSCAPE ASSESSMENT DISTRICTS, ZONES A THROUGH E, TO LANDESIGN CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE, SONOMA MOUNTAIN LANDSCAPE, NESSCO CONSTRUCTION AND LANDSCAPING, LANDESIGN CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE, AND NORTH BAY LANDSCAPE MANAGEMENT, RESPECTIVELY FOR THE MOUNTAIN VALLEY, CARER FARMS, AND CRANE GLEN LANDSCAPE ASSESSMENT DISTRICTS WHEREAS, City staff has worked diligently to prepare LAD maintenance bid documents for the provision of maintenance services for LADs; and, WHEREAS, in accordance with the City of Petaluma contracting and purchasing practices, City staff solicited bids for the Project; and, WHEREAS, bids from five (5) vendors were received and opened on February 1; and, WHEREAS, the lowest responsible bids for the respective areas of the project were determined to be from Landesign Construction and Maintenance, Zone A, $24,060; Sonoma Mountain Landscape, Zone B, $35,868; Nessco Construction, Zone C, $19,520; Landesign Construction and Maintenance, Zone D, $2445.; and North Bay Landscape Management, Zone E, $20.040; and, WHEREAS, staff has determined that the identified Contractor's bids satisfy the requirements for the various projects. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Petaluma hereby: Resolution No. 2008-052B N.C.S. Page I 1. Approves the following Bids: Zone A: Landesign Construction. and Maintenance, $24,060 annually. Zorie B: Sonoma Mountain Landscape, $35,868 annually. Zone C: Nessco Construction and Landscaping, $19,520 annually. Zone D: Landesign Construction and Maintenance, $2445 annually. Zone E: North Bay Landscape Management, $20,040 annually. 2. Authorizes and directs the City Manager to execute contracts with each identified bidder in the amounts set forth above, and authorizes the City Director of Administrative Services to pay all proper claims for performance of said contracts out of the appropriate Landscape Assessment District accounts.
