ESTABLISHING REVISED SPECIAL PARKING FEES,
APPROVING INCREASES TO THE RESERVED PARKING PERMIT FEE
AND RESIDENTIAL PARKING PERMIT FEE RATES AND ESTABLISHING
A FORMULA FOR THEIR ANNUAL INFLATIONARY ADJUSTMENT
WHEREAS, on November 4, 1976, The Petaluma City Council adopted Ordinance 2036 NCS adding
Section 11.44.160 establishing Special Permits for Use of Parking Spaces, and,
WHEREAS, the ordinance specifies that the City Council shall set the fees for use of parking spaces by
resolution, and,
WHEREAS, the City Council and Petaluma Community Development Commission (PCDC) desires to
increase the parking permit fee and to establish a method by which the fees can be adjusted annually,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Petaluma City Council hereby:
1. Establishes the FY 2000-01 quarterly fee for each Reserved Parking Permit at $100 and
authorizes and establishes the formula for the annual adjustment to the quarterly fee for Reserved
Parking Permits based on the annual percentage change to the Consumer Price Index (CPI-W),
San Francisco -Oakland -San. Jose, Metropolitan Statistical Area -Urban Wage Earners and
Clerical Workers, All Items Index, April to April.
2. Establishes the FY 2000-01 annual fee for each Residential Parking Permit in the downtown
parking district at $25 per vehicle, adjusted annually thereafter by the annual percentage change
to the Consumer Price Index (CPI-W), San. Francisco -Oakland -San Jose, Metropolitan
Statistical Area -Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers, All Items Index, April to April.
3. Maintains the Construction Parking Permit Fees as .follows:
A. Fee shall be Five Dollars ($5.00) per day per vehicle permit
B. Permits can be issued. for any number of days up to a maximum of 30 days
C. Permits maybe renewed monthly.
4. Repeals Resolution 96-313 N.C.S.
Under the power and authority conferred upon this Council by the Charter of said City.
