Mayor Glass opened Public Comment on Item 5.C.
John Cheney, Petaluma, stated that if Rainier is built, there will be flooding.
Dave Libschitz, Petaluma, pointed out portions of the traffic analysis which he
believes are flawed.
Bill Silva, Petaluma, lives at the terminus of the proposed Rainier Crosstown
Connector, and has not received any information or been asked for his
input from Planning staff. Nobody will bear the brunt of this project more than he
and his wife and their neighbor.
Janice Cader- Thompson, Petaluma, said there are no funds for this project and
the City should pay back their current obligations before committing to another
costly project.
David Keller, Petaluma, said that as a former City Council member he has
experience with this project. The project doesn't meet the objective of reducing
traffic congestion and there is no money.
Vol. XX, Page 12 August 3, 2015
1
Mark Johnson, Petaluma, developer of Sid Commons, pointed out that there is
2
not one building in that project that is in the floodplain.
3
4
Duane Bellinger, Petaluma, had a question about floodplain boundaries.
5
6
David Swaney, Petaluma, thought access to boulevard was going to be by the
