ROLL CALL Present: Teresa Barrett; Mike Healy; Dave King; Kathy Miller Absent: Chris Albertson; David Glass; Gabe Kearney CLOSED SESSION • CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL - ANTICIPATED LITIGATION: Significant exposure to litigation pursuant to Paragraph (2) of Subdivision (d) of Section 54956.9: One potential case. • CONFERENCE WITH LABOR NEGOTIATORS: Pursuant to California Government Code Section 54957.6. Agency Designated Representatives: Scott Brodhun, and Dianne Dinsmore. International Association of Firefighters Local, 1415 Unit 7 - Fire. PUBLIC COMMENT ON CLOSED SESSION ITEMS Vice Mayor Miller opened Public Comment on CLOSED SESSION items. PUBLIC COMMENT Vice Mayor Miller opened Public Comment. Jon Melrose, Petaluma, is interested in opening a dispensary and asked the Council if they would consider allowing it. City Manager Brown Mr. Melrose City Manager Brown Leone Gannon, Petaluma, asked for help with neighbors growing a large number of plants in backyards affecting their health and quality of life. Don Hensic, Petaluma, neighbors who grow marijuana affect his health and quality of life. He suggested proper growing conditions inside, and expressed concern that crime will increase and property values will go down. Pam Grainger, Petaluma, spoke about tobacco retail licenses and the health concerns with tobacco products. Seeing no other persons wishing to speak, Vice Mayor Miller closed Public Comment. WORKSHOP A. Conduct a Workshop on Marijuana Cultivation and Consider, as Appropriate, a Proposed Ordinance Modifying Chapter 10. 15, "Medical Marijuana." He estimated that would take place in about six weeks.
