PUBLIC COMMENT
Steve Schnell of Perry's Charburgers advised the Commission about the
increasing problems of vandalism, abusive language and drug sales that they are
experiencing at Putnam Plaza. They talk to the Police Department about these
situations on a daily basis. The portable toilet has been knocked over and there
are repeated occurances of vandalism.

Warren Salmons reviewed the proposed expenditures by district. There was
discussion about trees and enhancement at the Washington and Petaluma Blvd.

The Commission asked staff to bring back a report on the possible number of
tree locations, the costs involved, and what it would take to get trees put in the
ground, including the costs of their extended maintenance. Some of the
merchants have said that trees would be nice, if their growth pattern were not a

having put together a number of plans such as: placement of new trash
receptacles downtown, coordination of the factory outlet shopping and
