PUBLIC COMMENT
Jack Balshaw, 1680 Kearny Court - The Main Street group used to be focusing on design.
Downtown marketing groups interested in promoting sales and business downtown have been
meeting for a couple of months. An item that will be coming to the Petaluma Community
Development Commission (PCDC) from Main Street is a request for directory/map boards to
be placed in several locations downtown. We will be asking you for approval of the design so
that work can be done before the budget is considered.

RESO. 93-02
ADJUSTMENTS TO 1992-93 FISCAL YEAR BUDGET
Resolution 93-02 authorizing adjustments to the 1992-93 fiscal year budget. Warren Salmons,
Deputy Director, presented the various amendments to the approved budget for both the
Central Business District and the Community Development Project Area. There was some
discussion about the potential of the State of California tapping into the PCDC budget again
next year. The Commission lost $361,000 to the State in the 1992-93 Fiscal Year. Of that
money, $68,300 came from the Central Business District and $292,900 came from the
Community Development Project Area. It appears the State action to carry away local
redevelopment area money will continue. Staff recommends the money will come from the
Downtown River Walk and from the Rainier Overcrossing accounts.
