MINUTES The May 18, 1992, minutes were approved as submitted. PUBLIC REST ROOMS DOWNTOWN - REPORT Warren Salmons reported on his tireless efforts to secure public rest rooms in the downtown area. It was reported at the last PCDC meeting, and again at this meeting, that no business had shown willingness to make its rest rooms available to the public. Mr. Salmons suggested the Commission consider the possibility of utilizing the new offices of the Main Street organization (on the American Alley level of the old "Apple Box" building). It was also suggested that the Commission determine the cost of finding a person to staff the Main Street office on weekends in order to make the rest rooms available Saturday and Sunday, as well. Perhaps the Chamber of Commerce would be interested in having a mini -visitor center at that location. Also discussed were the possibilities of placing portable toilets in Putnam Plaza and utilizing the "soon to be renovated" unisex rest rooms at the Museum. The Commission concurred that if the Main Street office is not available for public use by July 10, staff is authorized to arrange for a portable toilet to be located in Putnam Plaza, RESOLUTION PCDC 92-09 NATIONAL ENDOWMENT FOR THE ARTS GRANT APPLICATION STEAMBOAT SQUARE PCDC Resolution 92-09 in support of filing a grant application with the National Endowment for the Arts for an Urban Design Study of the area at the foot of B Street (B Street to D Street, Petaluma Blvd. to Petaluma River).
