HomeMy WebLinkAboutPCDC Minutes 11/14/1988November 14, 1988 MINUTES OR THE PETALUMA COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION NOVEMBER 14, 1988 ROLL CALL: 7:00 p.m. PRESENT: Cavanagh, Tencer, Sobel, Woolsey, Balshaw, Vice Chairman Davis, Mayor Hilligoss Pedestrian Bridge Staff reported on the historic bridge found in Lake County. It would need rehabilitation at approximately $30,000 cost. The Commissioners asked for a picture of the old bridge and what the time line would be to bring it to Petaluma and erect it in place. There was concern this bridge would be out of scale in its intended location. Commissioner Tencer suggested a committee could be assigned the task to come back with a recommendation. Chairman Hilligoss said she hears a consensus that the Commission wants to see a design shich is smaller in scale. The Commission concluded the discussion by asking staff to start preparing a proposal for a design and construction including abutments and approach. The urgency to have the bridge in place by August, 1989, was emphasized. Staff will bring the item back to the Commission in one week. Resolution 88-18 Authorizing investment of Petaluma Community Development Commission funds in the State of Caliofrnia Local Agency Investment Fund.
