MINUTES OR THE PETALUMA COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION
NOVEMBER 14, 1988
ROLL CALL: 7:00 p.m.
PRESENT: Cavanagh, Tencer, Sobel, Woolsey, Balshaw, Vice Chairman Davis,
Mayor Hilligoss
Pedestrian Bridge Staff reported on the historic bridge found in Lake County. It
would need rehabilitation at approximately $30,000 cost. The Commissioners asked
for a picture of the old bridge and what the time line would be to bring it to
Petaluma and erect it in place. There was concern this bridge would be out of scale
in its intended location. Commissioner Tencer suggested a committee could be
assigned the task to come back with a recommendation. Chairman Hilligoss said
she hears a consensus that the Commission wants to see a design shich is smaller in
scale. The Commission concluded the discussion by asking staff to start preparing a
proposal for a design and construction including abutments and approach. The
urgency to have the bridge in place by August, 1989, was emphasized. Staff will
bring the item back to the Commission in one week.
Resolution 88-18 Authorizing investment of Petaluma Community Development
Commission funds in the State of Caliofrnia Local Agency Investment Fund.
Introduced by Larry Tencer, seconded by Jack Cavanagh.
