HomeMy WebLinkAboutPCDC Minutes 08/12/1985MINUTES OF A MEETING OF THE PETALUMA COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION MONDAY, AUGUST 12, 1985 Roll Call: 3:00 p.m. PRESENT: Commissioners Bond, Cavanagh, Davis, Woolsey, Tencer, —Vice Chairman Balshaw, Chairman Mattei RESO. 85-7 AUTHORIZE AGREEMENT "PEGGY SUE PRODUCTIONS" Resolution 85-7 authorizing the Chairman or Executive to enter into and execute an agreement between the Development Commission and Peggy Sue Productions, Inc., for the use of property lcoated at 120 Petaluma Boulevard, Petaluma. Introduced by Commissioner Bond, seconded by Commissioner Woolsey. AYES: Bond, Cavanagh, Davis, Woolsey, Tencer, Vice Chairman Balshaw, Chairman Mattei. Mr. Sam Mercer, representing "Peggy Sue Productions", addressed the Commission indicating that he would submit a tentative filming schedule to the City . MAINTENANCE OF DOWNTOWN TREES After discussion, the staff was directed to secure proposals for proper maintenance of downtown trees. Prior to staff developing a policy for trees, i.e., planting, maintenance and responsibility, it was Commission consensus to refer this matter to consultants Johnson & Guthrie and request that during the development of the Golden Concourse/ Turning Basin Project a tree program be considered for the central business district. PCDC GOALS AND POLICIES It was agreed to continue the in-depth discussion of Petaluma Community Development Commission Goals and Policies at a subsequent meeting. It was noted the Golden Concourse/ Turning Basin Project is in the preliminary design phase. August 12, 1985 1 PCDC Minutes August 12, 1985 page two Chairman Mattei read a report that the Helen Putnam Memorial Committee recommended the relocation of the memorial to the Petaluma Boulevard property from Center Park.
