Please note that the Project Area Committee has voted to rec- ommend to the Community Development Commission to consider deleting eminent domain powers from the Commission. They would like this considered at CDCs regular meeting of September 13, 1976. I°11 be happy to meet with you about this at your earliest convenience. Enclosure Sincerely, 2 Jade V. Warman Project Manager M I N U T E S OF THE PETALUMA COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION August 11, 1976 The meeting was opened by Chairman Dick Lieb at 4:15 p.m. There were eight members present: Jack Gallager, Ed Hansen, Dick Lieb, Herold Mahoney, Joan Paddor, Fred Schram, Bob Stimson, and Americo Gervasoni. Staff representative was Janie Warman. Agenda Items: 1. Contact property owners and business merchants: a question was raised regarding the contact list. Discussion ensued on the powers of eminent domain held by the Commission. One suggestion was that a letter be sent to all PAC members questioning their support of the Plan as it is or support of the Plan without the Commission's power of eminent domain. After further discussion an emergency meeting was called for 5:00 p.m. on Thursday August 12, 1976 for the sole purpose of voting on the eminent domain issue. Janie Warman was to call Project Area Committee members as a quorum would be needed for the vote. 2. Change regular meeting times: not discussed. 3. Discuss specific projects: not discussed. 4. Current status - truck alternate route for Petaluma Blvd: an explanation of the truck route was given to the committee. Herold Mahoney wondered what tonnage would be allowed on Petaluma Blvd. but was told that no specifics had been discussed. The discussion of a truck alternate route was brought up by -the downtown merchants at their meeting on August 10, 1976 and the agenda item was merely informational for the PAC. The meeting was adjourned at 5:15 p.m. Respectfully submitted, Fred Schram (for Caroline Geiger, Secretary) JVW/dd
