AND ADOPTING A s RESOLUTION AMENDING THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING EXECUTED BY ~ THE DULY AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVES OF THE CITY AND THE AMERICAN ~ FEDERATION OF STATE, COUNTY AND MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES, LOCAL 3910A FOR s EMPLOYEES OF UNIT 3 (CLERICAL/TECHNICAL) 9 10 WHEREAS, the City, through its duly authorized representatives, and the American Federation of I1 Federal, State, County and Municipal Employees, Local 3910A, through its duly authorized 12 representatives, have concluded their mutual obligation to meet and confer in good faith with respect to 13 terms and conditions of employment for the employees in Unit 3, in accordance with the Meyers-Milias- is Brown Act and the City's Employer-Employee Relations Rules and Regulations (Resolution No. 5512 Is N.C.S.); and 16 WHEREAS, the duly authorized representatives of the City of Petaluma and the American 17 Federation of Federal, State, County and Municipal Employees, Local 3910A, have executed a 18 Memorandum of Understanding pursuant to Section 15, Resolution No. 5512 N.C.S., and recommend its 19 approval by the City Council; and zo WI~REAS, the City Manager, pursuant to Section 38, City of Petaluma City Charter, and as the 21 City's Municipal Employees' Relations Officer (Resolution No. 5375 N.C.S.) is required and empowered z2 to make a recommendation to the City Council on matters related to employees' compensation; and 2s WHEREAS, the City Manager has reviewed and concurs with said Memorandum of as Understanding for Unit 3, and does recommend the City Council ratify said Memorandum of zs Understanding. 26 Llndar the power and authority co~ue~rad upon this Council by tha Chahar of said City.
