HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 00-043 N.C.S. 03/06/2000 ~eSOlUt1OI1 00-43 N.C.S. of the City of Petaluma, California RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PETALUMA CONSENTING TO AND CALLING A JOINT PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE REDEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR THE PETALUMA COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AND THE NEGATIVE DECLARATION RELATING THERETO WHEREAS, the Petaluma Community Development Commission of the City of Petaluma (the "PCDC"), by Resolution No. 00-04 on March 6, 2000, submitted to the City Council of the City of Petaluma (the "City Council") a proposed Amendment to the Redevelopment Plan (the "Amendment") for the Petaluma Community Development Redevelopment Project (the "Project") and consented to and requested that the City Council call a joint public hearing of the PCDC and the City Council to consider and act upon the proposed Amendment, together with a joint public hearing on the proposed Negative Declaration (the "Negative Declaration') on the proposed Amendment; and WHEREAS, the City Council acknowledges receipt of the proposed Amendment, along with the Report to the City Council and the proposed Negative Declaration on the Amendment; and WHEREAS, Section 33458 of the California Community Redevelopment Law (Health and Safety Code Section 33000 et seq.) authorizes a joint public hearing on the proposed Amendment with the consent of the PCDC and the City Council; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PETALUMA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City Council hereby consents to and, at the request of the PCDC, calls a joint public hearing of the PCDC and the City Council on Apri13, 2000, at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers to consider and act upon the proposed Amendment and all documents and evidence pertaining thereto, together with a joint public hearing on the proposed Negative Declaration for the Project. Section 2. The City Clerk of the City of Petaluma shall, in cooperation with the Secretary of the PCDC, prepare, publish and mail such notices and documents and do all other acts as may be necessary to carry out the purposes of this resolution.
