RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CTI'Y OF PETALUMA APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR THE AMENDMENT TO TFIE REDEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR THE PETALUMA COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROJECT WHEREAS, the Community Development Commission of the City of Petaluma (the "Commission") has proposed an amendment (the "Amendment") to the Redevelopment Plan for the Petaluma Community Development Project (the "Project"), which would clarify (i) the limitation on the number of dollars of taxes that may be divided and allocated to the Commission pursuant to the Redevelopment Plan and (ii) the limit on the principal amount of bonds representing tax allocation bonded indebtedness that can be outstanding at any one time and payable in whole or in part from tax allocation attributable to the Project; and WHEREAS, an initial study has been made to determine ~Thether the proposed Amendment will have a significant effect on the environment; and WHEREAS, based on ,the results of the initial 'study., the Commission has prepared a Negative Declaration; which has been submitted°to and has been considered by the City Couluil of t1ie~City of Petaluma (Lhe "City Council") in connection with the proposed ad_opt;_on by the Citv Council of an ordinance adapting the Amendment; and ~tifIF.REAS, on Apri13, 2000, the City Council and the Commission held a joint public hearing on the proposed Amendment and the Negative Declaration, and the City Council has considered all comments and testimony received pertaining thereto; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PETALUIVI=~ DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: .Section 1. The City Council has reviewed and considered the information contained in the Negative Declaration prepared for the proposed Amendment and. hereby approvzs the Negative Declaration. Section 2. Based upon the initial study, the Negative Declaration and comments and testimony received pertaining thereto, the City Council hereby finds and determines that the proposed Amendment will not have a significant effect on the enviroiu~Lent. ~P~tt~n 3.
