The low bid was $106,735 00 The project involves placing rock slope protection/rip-rap along the interior dikes of pond numbers 5; 8 and 9 to prevent erosion to the dikes due to wave action of high wastewater level in these ponds during winter storms. The construction is scheduled to begin in late June and expected to be completed by the end.of July 1998., This project will be funded by the Water Pollution Control Enterprise Funds. The City will seek partial reimbursement from FEMA fordamagescaused by the 1998 Storm. Recommended City Council action Adopt the resolution. The project involves pining rock slope protection/rip-rap along,the interior dikes of pond 29 numbers 5, 8 and-9 to prevent erosion of the dikes due to wavedaction of,high wastewater level in 30 these ponds during winter storms (see Exhibit "A" for location map). This year's repair will 31 complete the dike repair on all ponds except pond numbers 1, 2 and 4. Award the contract to another bidder. 19 2. Reject all bids and re-advertise. 20 21 CONSEQUENCES OF-NOT ACTING: 22 23 Delay the construction. 24 25 ACTION FOLLOWING:AUTHORIZATION: 26 27 The contractor will enter a,contract with the City and submit the required contract documents and 28 insurance certificates.
