APPROVING CRUISING THE BOULEVARD, INC.
CAR SHOW AND CRUISE SET FOR MAY 17, 2008
WHEREAS, Cruising the Boulevard, Inc. is sponsoring their 3rd Annual "Petaluma's
Salute to American Graffiti" and the 35t" anniversary of the release of American Graffiti May 17,
2008; and,
WHEREAS, Cruising the Boulevard, Inc. has coordinated the details of the Car Show
and Car Cruise with the Petaluma Police Department; and,
WHEREAS, Cruising the Boulevard, Inc. will be the authorized sponsor of the special
event, including the authorization of street vendors and street dance within the special event
perimeter.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Petaluma Police Department is
authorized to close certain downtown streets between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. on
Saturday, May 17, 2008, for the purpose of conducting a Car Show, Cruise, and Street Dance,
per the identified locations on the event map attached hereto as Exhibit A.
Under the power and authority conferred upon this Council by the Charter of said City
REFERENCE: I hereby certify the foregoing Resolution was introduced and adopted by the 4City
as to
Council of the City of Petaluma at a Regular meeting on the 25`�' day of February,
2008, by the following vote:
