Resolution No. 00-114 N~,~, of the City of Petaluma, California 1 2 3 4 5 RES®LUTI®N ACCEPTING BID ®F N®RTII BA1' LANDSCAPE 1VIANAGEIVIENT ®F 6 PETALUMA AND NESSC® ®F PETALUIVIA F®R TIIE 1VIAINTENANCE ®F TIIE 7 LANDSCAPE ASSESSIVIENT DISTRICTS 8 9 WI~EREAS, bids have heretofore been invited in accordance with the law for the to performance of certain work for the City of Petaluma generally described as landscape 11 maintenance for the Landscape Assessment Districts; and 12 13 WIIEREAS, bids were received, opened, and read in accordance with law and the 14 Director of Parks and Recreation has made his report thereon, a copy of which is attached hereto 15 and by reference incorporated herein; anal 16 17 WIIEREAS, the Council has thoroughly considered said report of the Director of Parks 18 and Recreation and as a result has concluded-that the bid of North Bay Landscape Management, 19 315 Petaluma Blvd, Petaluma, CA 94952 and Nessco, 11.0 Baylis Street, Petaluma, CA 94952. 20 were the lowest responsible bids received; and 21 22 WIIEREAS, the Council has thoroughly considered said report of the Director of Parks 23 and Recreation and as a result has concluded that the bid of North Bay Landscape Management 24 and Nessco on the basis of the solicitation for performance in accordance with the aforesaid 25 solicitation and bid submitted, be and the same is hereby approved and accepted; and 26 27 N®W, TIIEREFORE, BE IT RES®LVED, that the City Council of the City of 28 Petaluma, all prerequisite findings and determinations having been made in accordance with law, 29 that the bid of said North Bay Landscape Management at $5,675 per month and Nessco at $1,670 3o per month on the basis of solicitation for performance in accordance with the aforesaid solicitation 31 and bid submitted, be and the same is hereby approved and accepted; and 32 33 IT IS FURTIIER RES®LVED, that, the City Council reject all bids for so called Area 4, 34 arterial center landscaped medians, and 35 00-114 Page 2 of 2 Res. No . N.C.S. IT IS Fi.TItT~EIt ItIES®I.VED, that the City of Petaluma enter into a contract with the said successful bidder for performance as herein indicated for the amount of said bid and for performance in accordance with plans and specifications heretofore prepared, approved, and on file in the office of the director of Parks and Recreation, and the city Manager be and is hereby authorized and directed to execute such contract, and the City director of Finance is hereby authorized to pay all proper claims for performance of said contract out of the appropriate Landscape Assessment District accounts. Under the powez and authority conferred upon this Council by the Charter of said City.
