AN ORDINANCE REPEALING LICENSING' REQUIREMENTS FOR
BICYCLES IN THE CITY OF PETALUMA BY REPEALING SEC-
TIONS 11.72.0,70, 1.1.72.090, 11.72.1GO, 11.72.120,
11.72, 490, 11.12.500, 11.72 11..72.520 AND
11.72.530 OF THE PETALUMA MUNICIPAL CODE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE •COUNC,IL OF THE CITY OF PETALUMA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1 . Secti 11.72.070, l 7°2;..0 11.72.100,
11.72.120, 11.72.490, 11.72.500, 11.72.510, 11 .72 - .5:2:0 and 11.72.530 of
the.P Municipal Code,.providing for the licensing of bicycles in
the City of Petaluma and estalblishing fees the- r.efor, are hereby repealed.
Section 2 . This..ordinance is an urgency ordinance necessary
for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health or.
within the meaning of Government Code Section 36 "9 °3`7. The facts cons °ti -
tuting such necessity arse:
1. On March 20, 1,975," amendments to; the Petaluma Municipal
, Code become effective which establish licensing requirements for bi-
cycles in the City of Petaluma and establish fees therefor.
2. This Council has determined that said amendments are not
in the best interests o the: citizens of Petaluma and establish fees
which are excessive and not in. accord with the will of the people of
Petaluma.
3. In order that these amendments not become effective and
in order to prevent a .gap between the effective date.of such amendments
and the date of their repeal it is'necessary for this ordinance to go
into immediate effect.
ADOPTED this 17th day.of March, 1975, by the, following vote:
AYES: Councilmen Cavanagh, Daly, Harberson, Mattei, Perry
and Mayor Putnam
NOES: Councilman Bruner
ABSENT: None:
