HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 2016-111 N.C.S. 07/11/2016Resolution No. 2016-111 N.C.S. of the City of Petaluma, California AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH ARCSINE ENGINEERING FOR ENGINEERING, CONSTRUCTION SERVICES, AND PROGRAMMING SERVICES FOR THE SOLIDS HANDLING UPGRADES AT THE ELLIS CREEK WATER RECYCLING FACILITY WHEREAS, the City of Petaluma wishes to upgrade the Ellis Creek Water Recycling Facility to upgrade the solids handling facilities; and WHEREAS, this project requires the services of a quality professional engineering firm familiar with the project and experienced in design and construction of complex biological and chemical systems of wastewater treatment facilities and their components; and WHEREAS, the City has determined that construction support from the electrical and instrumentation designer, ArcSine Engineering, is required for the timely and effectual completion of the installation of the solids handling equipment; and WHEREAS, Carollo Engineers responded to the City's Request for Proposals and was chosen based on their proposal, reputation, and experience in design of municipal waste water treatment facilities; and WHEREAS, ArcSine Engineering has significant knowledge and expertise in all areas of electrical and instrumentation control for the ECWRF facility and City sewage pump stations; and WHEREAS, staff recommends the City execute a Professional Services Agreement with ArcSine Engineering for engineering, construction services, and programming services for the Solids Handling Upgrades at the Ellis Creek Water Recycling Facility. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Petaluma hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute a Professional Services Agreement with ArcSine Engineering for Engineering, Construction Services, and Programming Services for the Ellis Creek Water Recycling Facility in an amount not to exceed $154,563. Under the power and authority conferred upon this Council by the Charter of said City.
