RESOLUTION suPP®RTnv~ THE PURCHASE ®F CALTRANs
DIRECTIONAL SIGNS BY HERITAGE HOMES OF PETALIJMA,
THE PETALiTMA DOWNTOWN ASSOCIATION,
THE PETALITMA AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE, ANID THE PETALIJMA
VISITOR PROGRAM
WHEREAS, Petaluma's downtown is a nationally registered historic district; and
WHEREAS, the citizens of Petaluma wish to attract people to its downtown; and
WHEREAS, Highway 101 is one of the most traveled routes in Sonoma County and a
vital link to the tourist industry and Petaluma's downtown; and
WHEREAS, four community based non-profit .agencies wish to purchase signs for
Highway 101 that will attract and direct travelers to the downtown;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Petaluma City Council supports the
purchase of Caltrans directional signs by Heritage Homes of Petaluma, the Petaluma
Downtown Association, the Petaluma Area Chamber of Commerce and the Petaluma
Visitor's Program.
Under the power and authority conferred upon tlus Council by the Charter of said City.
REFERENCE: I hereby certify the foregoing Resolution was introduced and adopted by the Approved as to
