BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE :CITY OF PETALUMA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1 . That the City Council finds that the Planning Com" mission filed with the City Council on the 3rd day of May, 1967, its report as set forth in Resolution No. Z5-67' duly adopted by the Plan ning Commission on the 2nd day of May, 1,967, recommending the adoption of an,amendment to the Zoning Ordinance No. 662 N..C.S. by reclassifying and rezoning from an R -1- 6,000 Zone or District to a -C -C Zone or Dis- trict:that certain real property more particularly and specifically bounded and described as follows, to wit,: BEING A PORTION of Lot 214 of the'Petaluma Rancho, as same is shown on that•map recorded in Book 2.1 of Maps, at page 1, Son" oma County Records., being more,particularly described as follows: - COMMENCING at the most Northerly corner of Novak Subdivision No. 1 as the same is shown on that,map as recorded in Book 6.9 of Maps, at pages 19 and 2'0., Sonoma County ,Records; thence from said po -irit of commencement North 36` 19' East 4,16' feet to a point in the. Southwesterly lot line .of , said, Lot '214; thence along said lot line North 53 5.3.' 44" West,, 646.98 feet to the most Westerly corner of said Lot 214; t =hence along the - Northwesterly lot-line of said Lot 214, . Section 2. . The City Council further finds-that said Planning Commission held hearings on said proposed amendment to the Zoning Ordinance No. 662, N.C.S., after having given notice of hearing in the manner, for the period and in the form required by said Ordinance No. 662 N.C.S. Section 3. That pursuant to Article 21 of said Zoning Or- dinance No. 662 N.C.S., the City.Council hereby adopts an amendment to said Zoning Ordinance No, 662 N.C.SE so as to reclassify and rezone said property hereinbefore described from an R -1 -6,000 Zone or District to a C -C (Community Commercial) Zone or District. Section 4. The City Council further finds that the change is consistent with the purposes of Ordinance No. 662 N.C.S. as described in. Section 1 -100 thereof and that all requirements of said Ordinance have been met. Section 5. The City Clerk b.e,.and.she is hereby directed to publish this Ordinance in.the Petaluma Argus - Courier, the official news- paper of the City, including a map showing the description of said prop- erty to be reclassified and rezoned hereunder, for the period and in the manner required by the City Charter.
