RESOLUTION AMENDING THE PAY RATES FOR
PART-TIME POSITIONS
WHEREAS, the City last adjusted the pay rates for certain part-time positions effective
January 1, 2007; and,
WHEREAS, the State of California minimum wage is $8.00 per hour effective January
1, 2008, and the City is required to adjust its pay rates to comply with the state law; and,
WHEREAS, the City wishes to provide an annual cost of living adjustment in the
amount of 3.3% for City employees designated in positions at the Living Wage which will result
in a new pay rate of $13.64; and,
WHEREAS, the schedule of pay rates for the part-time positions are amended to reflect
the adjustment listed above (as attached hereto and marked. Attachment A).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council does hereby approve
the pay rates for the part-time positions as written in this Resolution; and,
PE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the 3.3% pay rate adjustment and minimum wage
adjustment shall be effective January 1, 2008.
Under the power and authority conferred upon this Council by the Charter of said City.
