HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 99-113G N.C.S. 05/17/1999 1 Resolution No. 99-113-G N.C.S. of the City of Petaluma, California 2 RESOLUTION AMENDING THE CLASSIFICATION PLAN 3 TO ESTABLISH THE POSITION CLASSIFICATION 4 VOLUNTEER /EDUCATION COORDITVATOIt 5 DESIGNATED TO UNIT 11, (ANIMAL CONTROL SERVICES) 6 7 g BE IT RESOLVED that the Classification Plan and Compensation Plan, as y originally adopted pursuant to Resolution No. 90-209 N.C.S., and the classification titles and to specifications as adopted by Resolution No. 90-147 N.C.S., are hereby amended by 11 establishing the classification of Volunteer /Education Coordinator, (as attached hereto and 12 marked Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof). 13 14 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this action is taken pursuant to Personnel is Code 2.04.020 and Personnel Rules and Regulations (Rule IV, Section 5) for classifications 16 included. in the Competitive Service of the Personnel System, that the notice of this action .has 17 been properly posted and that the City Manager recommends this action. is ly NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Resolution No. 90-147 20 N.C.S., as amended, is hereby amended to include establishment of the classification of 21 Volunteer /Educational Coordinator and assigning this classification to Unit 11 (Animal 22 Control Services), effective May 17, 1999 with a salary range of $12.00 to $14.58 per hour. 23 24 Under the power and authority conferred upon this Council by the Charter of said City. ESSENTIAL DU'T'IES AND RESPONSLBILITIES The Education7Volunteer Coordinator coordinates and develop volunteers to support the staff in programs, activities, and services provided to the community. Design volunteer programs to serve the shelter and community. Provide volunteer orientations for information and training. Type correspondence, reports, forms and specialized documents related to the function of the unit. Cheek materials for accuracy, completeness, compliance with departmental policies, and correct English usage. Develops educational programming.
