HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 2008-003 N.C.S. 01/07/2008 Resolution No. 2008-003 N.C.S. of the City of Petaluma, California RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE 2007-2008 COMPENSATION PLAN FOR PROFESSIONAL EMPLOYEES IN UNIT 4 WHEREAS, the employees in Unit 4 are not represented by any recognized employee organization; and, WHEREAS, the City Manager, pursuant to Section 28, City of Petaluma City Chanter, is required and empowered to make a recommendation to the City Council on matters related to employee's compensation; and, WHEREAS, the City Manager has reviewed and concurs with the proposed 200'7-2008 Compensation Plan for Professional Employees in Unit 4 and does recommend the City Council ratify said Compensation Plan. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the 2007-2008 Compensation Plan for Professional Employees in Unit 4, being in the best interests of the City, is ratified and the terms and conditions of said Compensation Plan shall be effective July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2008. Under the power and authority conferred upon this Council by the Charter of said City. Page 1 EXHIBIT A Summary of Changes to the Unit 4 Compensation Plan -Professional Fiscal Year 2007-2008 A complete copy of the Unit 4 Compensation Plan -Professional Fiscal Year 2007-2008 is on file in the City Clerk's office. SECTION I. 1. Salaries: Effective July 2, 2007 4% increase 2. Special Compensation -Boot Allowance: The boot allowance has been increased to $200.00 from $150.00. SECTION II. 1. Benefits -Health Plan Contribution The City agrees to continue to make a health plan contribution in the dollar amount of Ca1PERS Health Premium amount for Kaiser-Bay Area/Sacramento less the City's orie- hundred dollar ($100.00) Public Employees' Medical and Hospital Care Act (PEMHCA) contribution times ninety-five percent (95%) for each employee and his/her family members for calendar year 2008. Employees shall contribute to his/her CalPERS Health Premium in th.e amounts less the City's one-hundred dollar ($100.00) PEMHCA contribution and less the benefit dollar ' amount in effect and paid by the City. 2. Benefits -Dental Insurance The City agrees to amend the plan to allow for 3 teeth cleanings per year from 2, teed: cleanings per year. 3. Benefits -Life Insurance The City agrees to increase the .life insurance benefit amount to $75,000 from $50,000. SECTION III. 1.
