Valerie Minton, Petaluma, spoke of groundwater as a shared resource that has no

political boundaries. She would prefer a collaborative, basin -wide Groundwater
11
Sustainability Agency.

Kevin O'Dea, Cotati, said he's a professional geologist, and supports
14
collaboration on groundwater issues. He also inquired about the City's position
15
on the SCWA water supply strategy.

Sonoma County Supervisor David Rabbitt, Petaluma, spoke about the Sustainable
18
Groundwater Management Act, including supporting a single plan strategy for
19
the groundwater basin.

Duane Bellinger, Petaluma, said he also supports a single plan strategy for the
22
groundwater basin.

Dave Alden, Petaluma, spoke in support of the item, with the Petaluma Boulevard
South Road Diet as the top priority.
Karl Bundesen, Petaluma, was not a favor or road diets, but the one downtown
has completely changed his mind. He said it's calmer and more pedestrian
friendly.
Paul Behringer, Petaluma, told Council that from a driver's perspective, the road
diet on Petaluma Boulevard North has been successful.
Maggie Hohle, Petaluma, supports the road diet for safety and to support the
business community in that area.
Teddy Herzog, Petaluma, spoke in support of the Petaluma Boulevard South Road
Diet.

Bernie Album, Petaluma, spoke in support of the Petaluma Boulevard South Road

Diet, because of safety, time, and cost.

John Crowley, Petaluma, in favor of the diet as a more welcoming road for the

entrance to the City.

Sheila Baker, Petaluma, said as a bicyclist, she is strongly in favor of the Petaluma

Boulevard South Road Diet and encouraged Council to consider adding bike
9
lanes as part of the project.

Marilyn Dizikes, Petaluma, told Council she moved to Quarry Heights 3-1/2 years
12
ago and is disappointed that the Petaluma Boulevard South Road Diet is
13
unfinished.

Patricia Tuttle Brown, Petaluma, spoke in favor of the Petaluma Boulevard South
16
Road Diet, and says there is a large constituency in favor of the project.

Alicia Laughlin, Executive Director Sonoma County Bicycle Coalition, asked that
19
Council prioritize the Petaluma Boulevard South Road Diet and include a bike
20
lane.

Road Diet.

Jerry Wilkinson, Petaluma, spoke about buses traveling up and down Petaluma

Boulevard. With the mirrors, the buses are 10 feet, 2 inches wide. The lanes on

Petaluma Boulevard South are currently 10 feet wide. The Petaluma Boulevard

South Road Diet would eliminate this problem.

Diet to create a walkable neighborhood.
