After careful consideration, the Council established the following list: • Select a City Manager • Approve the 2025 General Plan in a timely manner • Ensure the fiscal strength of the City • plan for the impact of the state fiscal crisis * discuss with the community the ramifications of the "Initiative to Reduce Current City of Petaluma Wastewater and Water Service Rates to Rates in Effect on January 1, 2006 and Provide for Specified Annual Adjustments Thereto" and its impact on the community and the City's financial strength • Select criteria for the ranking of development projects • Select criteria for the prioritization of City capital projects • Work together for a common purpose with unity and clear direction Recommended Citv Council Action/Suggested Motion: Approve resolution approving list of goals for 2008 Reviewed by Admin. Dir: I Reviewed by City Attornev: Date: I Date: Rev. # Date Last Revised: File: Approved by Manager: Date: RESOLUTION APPROVING THE COUNCIL GOALS AND PRIORITIES FOR 2008 WHEREAS, the City Council met on January 14, 2008 to review the 2007 missions, goals and programs of the City and to establish the list of goals and priorities for 2008; and WHEREAS, after discussion and careful consideration, the Council established the following: • Select a City Manager. • Approve the 2025 General Plan in a timely manner. • Ensure the fiscal strength of the City by: o planning for the impact of the state fiscal crisis. o discussing with the community the ramifications of the "Initiative to Reduce Current City of Petaluma Wastewater and Water Service Rates to Rates in Effect on January 1, 2006 and Provide for Specified Annual Adjustments Thereto" and its impact on the community and the City's financial strength. • Select criteria for the ranking of development projects. • Select criteria for the prioritization of City capital projects. • Work together for a common purpose with unity and clear direction. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council does hereby approve the Goals and Priorities for 2008.
