ICES®LUTI®N 97-02 M®DI>H'YING P'Y 1996-97 H®USING BUDGET: INCREASING ALL®CATION T® N®RTH BAY REHABILITATI®N SERVICES F®R SALISHAN APARTMENTS WHEREAS the Petaluma Community Development Commission has adopted a 1995-99 Implementation Plan, which states its goals for the use of the Low/Moderate Income Housing Fund; and WHEREAS one of the goals is to provide affordable housing for persons with a disability; and WHEREAS North Bay Rehabilitation Services has proposed a 13-unit apartment complex to house residents with a developmental disability and has successfully secured a grant from the Department of Housing and Urban Development to construct the units; and WHEREAS PCDC allocated FY 94-95 and 95-96 funds to this project for site acquisition and predevelopment expenses, an additional allocation would allow the developer to add certain design embellishments as suggested by the Site Plan and Architectural Committee and the surrounding neighbors; and WHEREAS the reduction in certain appropriate development fees is necessary for the project's financial feasibility; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the addition of $101,730 be allocated to North Bay Rehabilitation Services for the Salishan Apartment Project to be utilized in the following way: 1. $81,730 will be expended on design embellishments, including decks. 2. $20,000 will be transferred from the Housing .Fund to cover sewer connection fees. Adopted by the Petaluma Community Development Commission on Tuesday, January 21, 1997, by the following vote: Ayes: Keller, Torliatt, Maguire Noes: Read, Chairman Hilligoss Absent: Stompe, Vice Chairman Hamilton i atricia E.
