FINAL MINUTES
1. CALL TO ORDE
Chair Gomez opened the meeting at 7:01 PM
2. ROLL CALL
PRESENT: Diana Gomez, Bill Wolpert, Jocelyn Yeh Lin, and Chris Albertson.
ABSENT: Gina Benedetti - Petnic, Jennifer Pierre, and Richard Marzo.
3. PUBLIC COMMENT
The Commission will hear public comments only on matters over which it has jurisdiction. There
will be no Committee /Commission discussion or action. The Chair will allot no more than three
minutes to any individual. If more than three persons wish to speak, their time will be allotted
so that the total amount of time allocated to this agenda item will be 15 minutes.
Chair Gomez opened General Public Comment. Seeing no persons wishing to speak, Chair
Gomez closed General Public Comment.
4. COMMISSION COMMENT
A. Council Liaison — Chris Albertson
Council liaison Chris Albertson reported that the Council had a workshop on April 10th and
heard a presentation by Bartel and Associates regarding the City's CalPERS Retirement Plans.
The Council met on April 17th to discuss Public Works contracts and had a workshop on April
24th to discuss options for tax revenue measures to help meet future obligations.

5. STAFF COMMENT
A. Planning Manager's Report
Deputy Planning Manager, Kevin Colin reported that there will not be a meeting on May 9th.
On May 23rd, the Planning Commission will meet on zoning amendments related to accessory
dwelling units, public art requirements, and refinements to the demolition policy. Mr. Colin
noted that there will be many major projects in late spring or early summer for the Commission
to review including Brody Ranch, Comstock Homes (Northbank), and North River Apartments.

A. Approval of Minutes of Regular Planning Commission Meeting of Tuesday, March 28, 2017
and Special Planning Commission Meeting of Tuesday, April 4, 2017.

Motion: Approve Conditional Use Permit to allow a Processing Office use for Fidelity
Information Services at 119 C Street with recommendations to not allow opaque
windows and to waive fees for an encroachment permit for the required bench
made by Bill Wolpert, seconded by Jocelyn Yeh Lin.
Vote: Motion carried 4 - 0.
Yes: Diana Gomez, Bill Wolpert, Jocelyn Yeh Lin, and Chris Albertson.
Absent: Gina Benedetti - Petnic, Jennifer Pierre, and Richard Marzo.
