PRESENT: Kathy Miller, Richard Marzo, Jocelyn Yeh Lin, Jennifer Pierre, Bill Wolpert,
Gina Benedetti-Petnic, Diana Gomez, Terry Kosewic, and Kit Schlich.
ABSENT: None.
3. PUBLIC COMMENT
The Committee will hear public comments only on matters over which it has jurisdiction. There
will be no Committee/Commission discussion or action. The Chair will allot no more than three
minutes to any individual. If more than three persons wish to speak, their time will be allotted
so that the total amount of time allocated to this agenda item will be 15 minutes.

A. Council Liaison
City Council Member Miller reported out on the recent City Council meeting she attended.
Topics included discussion on SMART realignment around Petaluma River; approval to change

26 traffic signals left turns at various intersections; a request from Metro Transportation
Commission for design and building of a multi -use path to the new East Washington Park; a
master utility agreement with SMART; and A Clean Up event by the Petaluma Youth
Commission on 5/18.

Mr. Cheney recollected the development proposal from 1986. He shared some photos of the
recent structures to show the current conditions, with dilapidating buildings and trailer with
lots of graffiti which is now a homeless encampment. He believes that this property needs to be
cleared and is in favor of demolition.

Public Member, Diane Olson has lived in the same neighborhood as this property for almost 16
years and has witnessed this building fall apart. It is sad but understands that it needs to be
taken down considering it is hazardous. Ms. Olson said she appreciates the deliberation and
consideration that the Commission is making regarding this project.

Payran Flood project to be completed. He is mad about his neighborhood not getting financial
