INTRODUCED BY COUNCILMAN SECONDRD BY COUNCILMAN AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY, DESIGNATED - "BAllANO ANNEXATION ", TO THE CITY OF PETALUMA. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF- PETA.LUMA., AS FOLLOWS: MHEP.EAS, on the 16th day of ,Tune, 1969 the Council of the City of Petaluma did pass and adopt Resolution No. 5242 N.C.S. giving notice of the proposal to annex certin uninhabited territory to the City of Petaluma, said territory.beinq therein designated as "BAZZANO ANNEXATION ", said Resolution describing the boundaries of the territory proposed to be annexed; and 19HEREAS, said Resolution No. 5242 N.C.S. did contain a notice of the day, hour-and place when and where the Council of the City would hear protests made by any persons owning real prop- erty within the territory proposed to be annexed; and NHEREA.S, on the 4th day of August, 1969 at the hour of 7:3;0 p.m.., in the Council Chambers in the City Hall of the City of Petaluma, County of Sonoma, State of California, said time and place'being the day, hour and place fixed in said Resolution No. 5242 N.C.S. for hearing protests of the said annexation, the said City Council did hear and pass upon all protests made to the pro- posed annexation and did determine that protests had not been made by the owners of one -half of the value of the privately owned ter- ritory proposed to be annexed as shown by the last equalized assess- ment roll, nor by public owners of one -half of the value of the publicly owned territory proposed to be annexed as determined by said Legislative Body; and WHEREAS, said territory is contiquous to the City of Petaluma and is uninhabited territory in the County of-Sonoma; I 'NOW,. THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that the said Council, of the City of Petaluma does hereby approve the annexation of the territory hereinafter described to the City of Petaluma and does, hereby further ordain that the said territory be and it is hereby annexed to the City of Petaluma. Said territory, the annexation of which to the City of Petaluma is herein approved,.is all that territory situate in the County of Sonoma., State of- California, more particularly des- cribed as follows: All that certain real .property situate in the County of Sonoma, State of California, being a portion of Lot 222 of the Petaluma Rancho, according to.Rowe.'s Survey of said Rancho on file in the.Recorder's Office of Sonoma County, and being more particularly des- cribed as follows: BEGINNING at the corner common to Lots 220- 221 -222- 223 of the abovementioned Petaluma Rancho; thence alona a line common to Lots 222 and 223 North 35 34'58" East, 600.00 feet to the TRUE POINT OF BEGIN - NING; thence continuing alona said last named line and a prolongation thereof North 35 °34'58 " 1096.71 feet to the Northeasterly line of Ely Road; thence along said line South 54 East, 1510.40 feet to the extension of the Southeasterly line of the Lands of Bazzano, et al, as described in that certain deed recorded in Book 168.1 of Official Re- cords at paae 312, Sonoma County Records; thence along said line South 35 1 34'58" We.st., 1696.65 feet to the Southwesterly line of the previously mentioned Lot 222 of the Petaluma Rancho; thence along said,line North 54 West, 759.40 feet to the most Southerly ' corner of the Lands of Old Adobe Union School District as described in that certain deed recorded in Book 2241 of Official Records at page 397, Sonoma County Records; thence along the generally Easterly lines of said lands North 35 34'58" East, 6'00..00 feet; thence North 54 West, 751.00 feet to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING.
