At the July 3, 2017 Regular City Council/PCDSA Meeting, the City Council made a number of appointments to City Boards, Commissions, and Committees, Not all vacancies were filled however, In some cases there were fewer applicants than there were openings, or no applicants at all. Openings remain on the Building Board of Appeals, Technology Advisory Committee and ,the Marin/Sonoma Mosquito & Vector Control District Board of Trustees. Press releases were sent to the Petaluma Argus -Courier and Press Democrat regarding the upcoming appointments, The attached "We're Recruiting" flyer was distributed at City Hall, the Petaluma Community Center, and the Petaluma Library. Information was posted to the City's website and Facebook page, and on NextDoor. Announcements were sent out on the City's Email Listserve, The deadline for new applications was Monday, July 24, 2017, at 5:00 p.m. Applications submitted by that date have been reviewed for completeness and consistency with applicable eligibility requirements, and are attached to this report for the City Council's review and consideration. Costs are limited to staff time to prepare materials for the recruiting of volunteers, and are contained within the operating budget, ATTACHMENT 1.
