Sarah Gibson, Petaluma, Petaluma for Change, wanted to spread the word about their next
project, which will be a local day of service on Saturday, March 21. They are calling it "Petaluma
Spring Cleaning Day" and more information can be found at

Zen Destiny, Petaluma, feels the U.S. doesn't need a stimulus package - it needs widespread
banking reform and legislation.
Wayne Clark, Petaluma, says Don Bennett and Mike Kerns are the most disliked people in
Petaluma.
Richard Brawn, Petaluma, showed a Power Point presentation on Planning for Business
and Investment.
Bruce Hagen, Petaluma, President, Board Directors, Phoenix Theater, thanked the City for
working with the Phoenix on their water conservation program. He said they are looking at a
rooftop garden, and photovoltaic. He spoke about the Guitar Gala - the website for which is
www,r)hoenixquitcraoic.com. This event takes place Saturday, February 28, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. A
dozen hand-crafted and decorated guitars will be auctioned that night and on-line. Money
raised from this event will be used to support free -of -charge after school programs for at -risk
youth in the North Bay and to help preserve the Phoenix.
Karen Nau, Petaluma, Member, Board of Directors, Phoenix Theater, told Council she is now
working with the Phoenix to bring music, health, and art activities to Petaluma youth free of
charge.

Doug Millar, Petaluma, said he is a private investigator of crimes against children which are being
covered up by law enforcement.
Peter Tscherneff, Petaluma, suggested an incentive program for people who use xeriscape in
their landscaping.
Katherine Bobrowski, Petaluma, spoke regarding vehicles parked illegally in the firelanes at her
mobile home park.
Connie Madden, Petaluma, for Petaluma Independent Business Alliance - spoke about a series
beginning this Sunday, March 1, called "Rediscovering Cooperatives." It will be held at Glaser
Center, 547 Mendocino Avenue, Santa Rosa, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.

Public Comment on Item 5.B
Ben Boyce, Sonoma County Living Wage Coalition, said he understood that the
December CPI increase was zero, and asked that Council make every effort,
when this comes back next year, to increase the living wage rate if there has
been an increase in the CPI at that time.
