Petaluma and elsewhere. (For much of My early career, I relied on transit for my daily
commute, ,first on the BART system and then on the. Seattle.- b4s sy$10mJ ftkeenly aware of
the-conhections b0twoen land development andtransit. First, trans'it'should'provideroptions
foe the residentS,andemoloyees of, new or redeveloped land uses. Second, -and' more
importantly, transit'should be.'a factor in the configuration of rthe,, new or,redevel.6ped,land
uses. Less car-006h-dent lifestyles, should not only beaccommodated, but encouraged.
