Mayor Glass opened PUBLIC COMMENT.
Peter Tscherneff, Petaluma, spoke about his research on tear gas spray.
Zen Destiny, Sebastopol, spoke about his support of medical and recreational marijuana.
Arthur Diecke, Environmental Consultant Representing Sunset Developers, encouraged Council
and City staff to support his application for recycled water for medical marijuana cultivation.

includes medical marijuana infused chocolates, and asked Council for recommendations on
how to run this kind of business in Petaluma.

A. Workshop to Discuss Current Federal, State, and Local Marijuana Regulations and
Petaluma Neighborhood Preservation and Enforcement Issues Since Adoption in
January, 2016 of the Current Petaluma Medical Marijuana Regulations in Chapter
10.15 of the City of Petaluma Municipal Code and to Receive Council Direction
Regarding Potential Amendments to Petaluma's Marijuana Regulations.

Mayor Glass confirmed that there was Council consensus to direct staff to gather
information regarding Petaluma and Countywide cannabis -related ER visits,
crimes, cash handling, neighborhood code compliance, and the impact of
current legal cannabis activity on neighborhoods. Further information was
requested from other cities/counties/states about their experience with
permitting, cash handling, legal ramifications for City officials, and economic
