HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions 2011-029 N.C.S. 02/28/2011Resolution No. 2011 -029 N.C.S. of the City of Petaluma, California APPROVING THE WASHINGTON STREET BRIDGE SEISMIC REHABILITATION PROJECT AND ACCEPTING THE PROPOSED FY 2010/2011 PROJECT BUDGET WHEREAS, the seismic vulnerability analysis of the Washington Street Bridge shows that the bridge is eligible for Caltrans /federal funding for seismic retrofit; and, WHEREAS, staff successfully applied for Federal Highway Bridge Program (HBP) funding and was awarded $221,325 for design of the Washington Street Bridge Seismic Rehabilitation Project; and, WHEREAS, the proposed project will allow a seismic retrofit of the Washington Street Bridge to withstand a major seismic event; and, WHEREAS, upon Caltrans' approval of the final design and construction cost estimate, the City will be eligible to apply for an HBP grant for construction funding. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Petaluma hereby: 1. Amends the FY 2010/2011 Adopted CIP Budget to include the Washington Street Bridge Seismic Rehabilitation Project. 2. Accepts the proposed project budget for FY 2010/2011 in the amount of $320,000, which includes a transfer of $98,675 from account number 2411- 16500 - 54150.
