RESOLUTION REALLOCATING FY 17 -18 BUDGET FUNDS FROM THE BOYS &
GIRLS CLUB OF MARIN AND SOUTHERN SONOMA COUNTY TO THE BOYS &
GIRLS CLUB OF CENTRAL SONOMA COUNTY TO BE USED FOR SERVICES AND
PROGRAMS AT FOUR AFFORDABLE HOUSING SITES, AND AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE ALL NECESSARY DOCUMENTS
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Petaluma has developed housing goals to
address the broad range of needs within the community; and
WHEREAS, Requests for Proposals are distributed annually requesting submissions of
programs and projects to implement affordable housing projects and programs which address
City Council goals; and
WHEREAS, the City budget was adopted on June 5, 2017 which included the
appropriations for affordable housing programs and projects as specified in Ordinance No. 2610
N.C.S, and
WHEREAS, funds were allocated to the Boys & Girls Club of Marin and Southern
Sonoma County to rehabilitate the main club at Lucchesi Park; and
WHEREAS, in August of this year, the programs and services for the Petaluma club are
officially being operated by the Boys & Girls Club of Central Sonoma County (BGCCSC); and
WHEREAS, to keep the services and programs at the three affordable housing
complexes, it is being requested that the funds allocated to the Boys & Girls Club of Marin and
Southern Sonoma County for Fiscal Year 2017 -2018 for rehabilitation be re- allocated to services
and programs to the Boys & Girls Club of Central Sonoma County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Petaluma City Council that
FY 2017 -2018 funding for the Boys & Girls Club of Marin and Southern Sonoma County be
reallocated to the Boys & Girls Club of Central Sonoma County to be used for services and
programs to serve the youth of Petaluma at the three affordable housing sites, and directs and

authorizes the City Manager to execute a subrecipient agreement and related documents to
implement this program.
