Adopt resolution filling resulting vacancy from remaining pool of applicants, Patricia Wapp, OR direct staff to place additional advertisements seeking applicants, and reschedule the appointment for a later Council Meeting. 2. BACKGROUND: On June 15, 2009, the City Council, as part of the Annual Appointments to City Boards, Commissions, and Committees, appointed Joel Solomon to the Senior Advisory Committee for as an alternate member for a term expiring June 30, 2011. On June 19, 2009, Mr. Solomon tendered his resignation via e-mail. One additional application to the Senior Advisory Committee was submitted before the deadline of Monday, June 8, 2009. The applicant is Patricia Wapp;, who has been a member of the Senior Advisory Committee, for the past two years. Council may appoint Patricia Wapp, to fill the vacancy created by Mr. Solomon's -resignation; or, Council could direct staff to place additional advertisements seeking applicants, and reschedule the appointment for a later Council Meeting. 4.
