RESOLUTION. NO. 84_0
Resolution Authorizing Validating Proceedings
. ~ WHEREAS, the Petaluma Community Development Commission
• ~ ("the Commission") by its Resolution No. 84_g has authorized the
issuance of $1,075,000 princ-pal amount of its Petaluma Central
Business District Redevelopment Project, Tax Allocation Bonds,.
Series A (the "Bonds"); and
WHEREAS; the 'Commission desires that certain
validating proceedings be initiated to validate all actions
taken in connection with the issuance of the Bonds;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PETALUMA
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION, as follows:
_ 1. Pettit & Martin, .Bond Counsel, is hereby
appointed as special counsel to initiate a.nd consummate the
validation proceedings provided for in this Resolution.
2. Pettit & Martin is hereby authorized as special
counsel to initiate and consummate validation proceedings
pursuant to California Code of Civil Procedure, Sections 860
et seq., in the Superior Court of the County of Sonoma to
determine the validity of all actions taken in connection with
the issuance of the Bonds.
3. For its services rendered as special counsel in
connection with said validation proceedings, Pettit & Martin
shall be paid by the Commission at its normal billing rates for
the services rendered, and shall be reimbursed for its actual
out-of-pocket expenses incurred in connection with such
services, including and not limited to all travel., meals,
lodging, reproduction, telephone, printing or other costs or
fees related to such validation proceedings, provided. that the

scope of said services shall be under the general control and
authority of the executive director of the Commission.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
introduced and adopted by the Petaluma Community Development
Commission at a (regular/s meeting on the 3rd day
of December 1984 by the following vote:
AYES: Battaglia, Tenser, Cavanagh, Bals~haw, Mayor Mattel

ABSENT: Perry, Vice Mayor Bond
